Architect & Founder of NOVOCASTRIAN & Lind + Almond
After leaving EC in 2004 I set off to pursue a career in Architecture, studying in Newcastle, London and Glasgow.
The 2008 recession led me back to London to seek work, where I found an unexpected role in the world of luxury residential and hospitality design. I quickly grew to love it, the role allowing me a fantastic opportunity to travel far and wide, working on demanding but exciting projects in all corners of the globe.
This insight into a world of entirely bespoke design presented a unique opportunity to combine my own passion for architecture with a family heritage in metalwork, and the idea which would later form NOVOCASTRIAN.
I established a small business with a friend, designing and fabricating made-to-measure furniture pieces and sculptural artwork in steel and brass. Six years later we are now fortunate enough to have a talented team of craftspeople, metalworkers and designers producing pieces which are exported worldwide.
I also still pursue my passion for architecture and interiors via Lind + Almond, a small studio specialising in hospitality design, with recently completed hotel redevelopments in Copenhagen and Scotland.
