Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Executive at Portland Communications
Rebecca joined Portland Communications in January 2019 as a corporate communications and public affairs executive. She supports some of the world’s biggest companies and brands on all aspects of their communication and reputation.
Working across a portfolio of clients – including Diageo, the All England Lawn Tennis Club (Wimbledon) and YouTube – Rebecca’s work spans both public affairs advisory and corporate communications. Specialist areas include crisis communications and issues monitoring, executive profiling of senior business leaders to key media and political stakeholders and public affairs support, helping clients engage with intricate policy matters.
Rebecca left Emmanuel College in 2015 where she completed A-Levels in Economics, French and Geography. She graduated from Loughborough University in 2018 with a first-class honours degree in International Relations.
At university, Rebecca represented Loughborough Students’ Women’s Football Club first team, and in her third year was Secretary of the 80-member club, managing player registrations, competition fixtures and coordinating committee and Athletic Union activity. Also during her time studying she worked as a Cancer Research political ambassador in the Loughborough area.
Away from work, Rebecca continues to play football at AFC Wimbledon Ladies, and enjoys social netball in a local South-West London league. She is preparing to complete the French Ministry of Education’s DELF (Diplôme d’études en langue Française) language qualification in 2021.
