Fibon Nyadu

Underwriting and Commercial Finance Analyst at Domestic & General

Fibon left Emmanuel in 2013 after studying Maths, German and Economics. Fibon went on to pursue his interest for Economics at Newcastle University where he studied the subject at undergraduate level. During his time at Newcastle he represented the university’s rugby side and graduated with an Honours degree in 2016.

Shortly after graduating Fibon moved to London and joined Domestic & General; the UK’s leading warranty specialist that looks after 23.9 million products and repairs or replaces 2.9 million appliances every year. Fibon started off working as an Account Handler in the Client Account Management team; a role where he was responsible for maximising existing business, as well as identifying new sales opportunities. He was then promoted to an Account Manager position with a particular focus on the retail sector, managing the sales and relationship of name-brand high-street stores such as GAME, Jessops, H Samuel and Ernest Jones.

As Domestic & General operates across Europe and in Australia, Fibon joined the international branch of the Underwriting and Commercial Finance team as an analyst, a role he believed to be better suited to his skillset. His responsibilities include the pricing of the insurance products and determining the set of terms and conditions that are applicable to that product. Other duties include producing projections to entice new clients, setting the company’s budget and making alterations to existing insurance products to ensure they are profitable. Fibon is also currently studying towards a Chartered Insurance accreditation.

Outside of work Fibon still has a passion for sport and continues to regularly play football and rugby. He is still living in London with two ex-Emmanuel students including another former G Conomics student – Peter O’Donnell.
