Inspiring STEM students

The Economics Society was treated to a lively and informative presentation about undergraduate life at Durham University.  Katie Dennington, university ambassador and final year mathematics undergrad, delivered a passionate off-the-cuff talk about how she came to study maths at university.  It was great for students to see just how passionate someone of their age can be about their chosen subject specialism.  Having been through the rigours of a university interview at both Durham and Cambridge, Katy was able to advise how best to approach the interview process.  Final thoughts focused on her own plans to pursue a career as an actuary, perhaps something many STEM students have not considered before.
